We have released new editions of StarCode on 1st January, 2019. Now, StarCode is available in three variants - StarCode Lite, StarCode Plus, and StarCode Pro. Each variant can be configured to run in Express or Network modes. We have packaged Express and Network features of StarCode in each variant of StarCode. StarCode Express, Express Plus, Network and Network Plus editions have been deprecated. StarCode Lite, StarCode Plus, and StarCode Pro all of three can be used in Express or Network modes of operation.

Yes, this feature is fully supported. We advise you that before changing any hardware on your computer, or making any significant software change (such as Windows reinstall) first deactivate the StarCode on that computer or device. After up-gradation, you will be able to reactivate it.

StarCode can be configured to run in Express or Network modes with one click. In Express mode it runs as a standalone application. It means it does not require any further installation of database server. It runs independently on the device or computer where it is installed on. Network mode is for network environment, and when there is a need of connecting more than one computer or device to central database. Network mode requires MySQL server installation on a local network, or in the cloud.
Yes, StareCode in Network mode requires MySQL server, and it can be installed in the Cloud or cPanel environment. Please get in touch if you require technical support.

StarCode allows printing to any printer which comes with a driver. You can print to small receipt or ticket printers, or desktop printers.
Yes you can connect barcode scanner with POS. Most of the receipt printers provide cash drawer connections. You can connect cash drawer with receipt printer and would be able to configure the cash drawer through receipt printer settings dialog.
