After purchasing the license key, you would have to activate the license FIRST TIME by using following method.
NOTE: Internet connection is required on the computer or device where you want to activate the product.
STEP 1: Please go to Help menu and click on Activate menu option. StarCode will be activated for all users on the computer or device. Following Access Control dialog may appear on Windows PC depending upon your computer settings.
STEP 2: If it asks for Administrator password, please provide. If you already have Administrator privileges, then you can click on Yes to proceed. After pressing Yes, StarCode Activation Manager will be launched with the following screen.
STEP 3: Please paste the license key which you have received at the time of purchase. Enter your name and email address and click on Activate. On successful verification the status will be changed to ACTIVATED with green background.
Please note that in order to initiate the deactivation and reactivation process, first you need to submit a support ticket by writing to our support email address. Please Click Here to Submit a License Transfer Support Ticket. Please send your license key in the email as well.
Deactivation is used for transferring license to other computer or device. Even if you are changing some hardware on your computer, such as BIOS, motherboard, or processor - we suggest you to deactivate StarCode first before the upgrade, and then reactivate after the upgrade. If hardware is changed without deactivation, then software will see it as a new computer and will loose activation. In order to deactivate StarCode, it has to be in the ACTIVATED state.

STEP 3: Click on Deactivate button. After successful deactivation, following screen will be displayed with the deactivation code shown in the box. You will need this code if you want to reactivate the product on same or different computer by using the Reactivation function.

In order to Reactivate StarCode, it has to be in the NOT ACTIVATED state, and already has been deactivated on server by using the Help->Deactivate feature.

STEP 3: Paste the Deactivation Code in the available box. If you do not have deactivation code, please do to the computer or device where you deactivated first. Launch StarCode and click on Help->Deactivate. Deactivation code will be displayed on deactivation dialog. After entering the deactivation code on Reactivation dialog, click on Reactivate button. On successful reactivation, status will change to ACTIVATED.
