StarCode can be configured to run in Express or Network modes with one click. In Express mode it runs as a standalone application. It means it does not require any further installation of database server. It runs independently on the device or computer where it is installed on. Network mode is for network environment, and when there is a need of connecting more than one computer or device to central database. Network mode requires MySQL server installation on a local network, or in the cloud.
StarCode allows printing to any printer which comes with a driver. You can print to small receipt or ticket printers, or desktop printers.
Yes you can connect barcode scanner with POS. Most of the receipt printers provide cash drawer connections. You can connect cash drawer with receipt printer and would be able to configure the cash drawer through receipt printer settings dialog.
